Alannah McCready is a dynamic country artist known for her heartfelt, relatable storytelling. Influenced by country legends like Trisha Yearwood and Martina McBride, McCready grew up with a passion for music, honing her vocal skills while also excelling as a hockey goalie, winning two NCAA Women’s Hockey National Championships.
After initially working in sports PR, McCready decided to pursue her music dreams full-time, moving to Nashville to focus on her craft. Her latest EP, Back to Me, showcases her evolution as an artist, offering a blend of vulnerability and strength. The project includes the empowering title track, “Back to Me,” where McCready reclaims her identity, and “Something Like That,” a raw reflection on self-worth and relationships. She also tackles modern challenges like online dating in “Take it Slow” and the emotional strain of long-distance relationships in “Can I Call.”
For McCready, music is a form of healing, and she hopes her songs offer the same to her listeners. With her distinctive voice and honest songwriting, she is confidently making her mark in the country music world, ready to connect with audiences on a deeper level.
